According to the latest report furnished by RealtyTrac for February 2009, Connecticut is
ranked
#14 nationally with a total of 2,220 foreclosure filings which consists
of notices of default, auctions and bank owned properties.
With 1 in every 475 homes in foreclosure, Fairfield County has the highest number of foreclousre filings with 737 followed by New Haven County with 614, Hartford County with 461, New London County with 125, Litchfield County with 104, Windham County with 80, Middlesex County with 58 and Tolland County with 41.
This is not good news for the Connecticut Home Foreclosure market as it was ranked 17th back in August 2008.
Connecticut foreclosure filings increased 34% from the previous month and increased 1% increase from February 2008.
