Town of Branford

With 20 miles of coastline and its close proximity to New Haven and Tweed Airport, this lovely town combines  natural beauty with convenience. The recently revitalized downtown area offers a quaint New England green with churches, town offices, restaurants and shopping all within walking distance.

There is an active park & recreation department, a senior citizen’s center, two libraries, public and private beaches, parks, tennis courts and hiking trails. The middle school features an indoor pool. The Green is the site of the annual Branford Festival, concerts and the Christmas Tree Lighting. There are tours of the beautiful Thimble Islands which lie just offshore two yacht clubs and numerous marinas.

Much of your shopping can be done in town. There are large grocery stores and department stores as well as convenient neighborhood markets. There are many antique shops and craft centers.

The coastline is divided up into smaller communities which feature beautiful homes ranging from impressive old estates to year round waterfront “cottages”. These communities have a “small town” feeling which is one of this towns greatest assets.

Homes range from first time buyer houses to spectacular older homes representing many periods to modern contemporaries. A large range of condominiums are offered - from waterfront to affordable one bedrooms in country-like settings.
