As is characteristic with almost all New England towns, the town green is at the core of the Branford Town Center.  Surrounding the Green is the town hall, three nineteenth-century churches, fabulous restaurants, trendy boutiques, Ashely's Ice Cream Parlor and the Common Ground coffee shop.

Just a short distance away is the historic Blackstone Library and the Branford Historical Society located in the 1724 Harrison House.

Visitors and residents come together at the Green for fairs, concerts and the yearly Branford Festival.  Held every year on Father's Day weekend, this three-day event attracts thousands of people.  There is a craft and business expo, nightly concerts, food, a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning followed by the Branford Road Race. 

Over 2,000 participants register to run in either the 5-Mile Race, the 2-Mile Health Walk or the 1-Mile children's and adult Fun Run.
